Job summary

A major facility management company in Singapore is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance of infrastructure facilities at Jurong Port. The selected candidate will lead FM technicians and contractors, ensure project execution, manage vendor relations, and report progress to management. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience is required. Experience with sustainability projects and WEMP certification is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in Engineering or Facilities Management.
  • Relevant supervisory experience in a technical field.
  • Experience in Greenmark application and sustainability project management is a plus.

Job description

Responsible to lead and deploy the FM technicians and contractors to upkeep the infrastructure facilities and execute assigned projects in all Jurong Port premises to ensure the infrastructure facilities are maintained and monitor progress to support Port operations

  • Planning of maintenance regime, allocate resources and monitor progress of work for Jurong Port infrastructure
  • Command and control of FM team and contractor to carry out maintenance activities
  • Analyse and provide technical instruction for work for FM team and contractors
  • Project execution including putting up Purchase Request, justifications, confirm goods receipt in procurement system, write specs and technical requirements, evaluate vendors technical competency for projects
  • Manage project progress, payments to vendors, commissioning and handover to Facility Management team.
  • Report progress to management, stakeholders, write papers and prepare slides to seek management approvals
Requirements
  • Minimum bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or Facility Maintenance related technical fields with 5 to 8 years of experience
  • Relevant working experience in Engineering or Facilities Management trade with supervisory function
  • Experienced in Greenmark application and sustainability project management will be an added advantage
  • WEMP certification will also be an added advantage
  • Service oriented, self-motivated and highly disciplined
