A technology firm in Singapore is seeking an individual to support R&D engineers in electrical design work. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and motion control issues, conducting system testing, and improving performance. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of electrical circuits and hands-on experience with motor systems. This position emphasizes strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate technical issues effectively.
Support R&D engineers in electrical design work, including circuit development, wiring diagrams, and system integration.
Carry out bench testing, system testing, and application evaluation for new designs and prototypes.
Set up and tune servo/stepper motors, configure motion controllers, and verify feedback systems.
Perform logical I/O analysis, troubleshooting, signal tracing, and root-cause investigation.
Conduct GR&R evaluations and prepare related test documentation.
Respond to onsite service calls to troubleshoot electrical, motion control, and automation issues.
Work closely with mechanical, software, and application teams to improve system performance and reliability.
Prepare, update, and create electrical circuit designs and wiring diagrams for systems and assemblies.
Solid understanding of electrical circuits, schematics, control systems, and automation fundamentals.
Hands‑on experience with motor systems (servo/stepper), motor tuning, drive parameter setup, and motion control.
Strong troubleshooting skills with good logical I/O analysis and problem‑solving ability.
Proficient in reading, interpreting, and creating electrical diagrams and circuit documentation.
Familiar with GR&R, measurement system analysis, and structured test methods.
Comfortable with onsite service work and communicating technical issues to customers and internal teams.
