Job description
Overview

We are seeking an experienced EE / PCBA Engineer to join our client, Bro Rad Laboratories, on a 1-year contract. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and validating electronic architectures and PCBA s for advanced robotic and life science systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop electronic architecture from system requirements to PCBA board level.
  • Design PCBA s incorporating microprocessors and motor control drivers.
  • Handle mixed-signal electronics design, including component selection, schematic entry, PCB layout, board bring-up, and verification for prototypes and NPI manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Perform hardware testing at instrument level and provide actionable feedback.
  • Lead and manage configuration of all hardware changes across instrument fleets.
  • Own and maintain all EE components in SAP/PLM environment.
  • Prepare and maintain full engineering documentation, test protocols, and compliance reports in a regulated environment.
  • Plan, prepare, and lead EE design reviews, ensuring accountability and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electronic/PCBA engineering.
  • Proficient in OrCAD and Altium Designer CAD tools.
  • Strong expertise with microcontroller devices and circuit design.
  • Skilled with lab equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience in resolving EMI/EMC/ESD issues.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; effective team player.
  • Familiarity with life science industry safety standards (IEC61010, risk management) preferred.
