A leading media company in Singapore seeks an experienced editor to oversee content across platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role involves collaboration with the Chief Editor for audience engagement, managing editorial projects, and building connections within the Chinese-speaking community. A Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years in journalism or media production are required. Proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese and strong communication skills are essential for coordinating newsroom efforts. This position may require irregular hours.
Review and vet editorial content across television, radio, and digital platforms to ensure accuracy, objectivity, and timeliness
Collaborate with the Chief Editor to plan and implement audience engagement and training initiatives for the Chinese News division
Manage special editorial projects and cross-platform initiatives as assigned by the Chief Editor
Uphold Mediacorp's editorial values, ensuring all content meets the highest standards of integrity and relevance
Build and maintain strong connections with key figures and newsmakers in the Chinese-speaking community
Work closely with newsroom teams and colleagues across Mediacorp to ensure smooth coordination and collaboration
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field with minimum 7 years of relevant experience in journalism, broadcasting, or media production
Excellent command of spoken and written (Mandarin/Cantonese) Chinese language, with strong proficiency in English language
Strong editorial judgment and a deep interest in news and current affairs
Dynamic, resourceful, and a collaborative team player with strong communication skills
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays as required by newsroom operations
