Job summary

A community support organization in Singapore is seeking a Driver to transport children and families to medical appointments and events. The ideal candidate must have a valid Class 3 Driving License, a clean driving record, and knowledge of local roads. Responsibilities include ensuring safety during transit and assisting with equipment. A willingness to work up to 44 hours across 6 days is required.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 3 Driving License and Bus Driver Vocational License (BDVL) required.
  • 1+ year experience driving a minibus or passenger van preferred.
  • Knowledge of Singapore roads necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Drive children and families to and from appointments and events.
  • Assist with loading/unloading items when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Drive children and families to and from medical appointments, Club Rainbow’s programmes and events
  • Assist with loading/unloading, including carrying and transferring items when needed
  • Secure and operate the wheelchair hydraulic lift to board/alight wheelchair-bound passengers
  • Ensure all safety measures are in place before moving off, eg securing seat belts and fastening wheelchairs with the restraint system to prevent movement or tilting during transit
  • Input client attendance and trip records into Club Rainbow’s database management system
  • Ensure punctual arrivals and uphold all safety standards and precautions during driving at all times
  • Carry out any assigned tasks from the Supervisor or Executive Director
Qualifications
  • Valid Class 3 Driving License and Bus Driver Vocational License (BDVL)
  • Preferably at least 1 year of experience driving a minibus or passenger van with a clean driving record
  • Good knowledge of Singapore roads and strong time management
  • Able to work independently, as well as in a small team
  • Polite, respectful and able to interact with people from all backgrounds
  • Physically fit and able to carry items of at least 10 kg
  • Able to operate basic vehicle equipment, including hydraulic lift
  • Willing to work flexibly on 6-days work week up to 44 hours a week
  • Must follow Club Rainbow’s Transportation Management Standard Operating Procedures and all relevant procedures and policies
