Key Responsibilities
Structural Drafting
- Produce structural drawings (GA plans, sections, elevations, reinforced concrete detailing, steel detailing).
- Develop detailed shop drawings, rebar schedules, and fabrication details.
- Update drawings based on engineers’ calculations, mark-ups, and design instructions.
Documentation & Coordination
- Maintain drawing registers, version control, and proper file naming conventions.
- Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, M&E teams, and site teams to resolve drawing issues.
- Incorporate feedback from consultants, contractors, and authorities.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure drawings comply with local codes, standards, and company drafting guidelines.
- Perform self-checks on drawings for accuracy and clarity before submission.
- Support preparation of submission drawings for BCA or PE review (if applicable).
Technical Support
- Provide CAD-related support to project teams (e.g., templates, scaling, plotting).
- Assist in converting sketches, PDFs, or hand drawings into AutoCAD format.
Requirements
- Diploma / NITEC in Civil, Structural, Architectural or related drafting discipline.
- 1–5 years of experience in structural drafting (depending on seniority).
- Experience in building, infrastructure, or industrial projects is an advantage.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of structural systems: RC, precast, steel detailing.
- Familiarity with Singapore codes and standards is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple drawings simultaneously.
