Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is looking for a Structural Draftsperson to produce structural drawings and detailed shop drawings. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in a related field and 1–5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include updating drawings based on engineering feedback and ensuring compliance with local codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. This role will involve coordination with various teams to resolve drawing issues and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in structural drafting, depending on seniority.
• Experience in building, infrastructure, or industrial projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of structural systems: RC, precast, steel detailing.
• Familiarity with Singapore codes and standards is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Structural Drafting

• Produce structural drawings (GA plans, sections, elevations, reinforced concrete detailing, steel detailing).
• Develop detailed shop drawings, rebar schedules, and fabrication details.
• Update drawings based on engineers’ calculations, mark-ups, and design instructions.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain drawing registers, version control, and proper file naming conventions.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, M&E teams, and site teams to resolve drawing issues.
• Incorporate feedback from consultants, contractors, and authorities.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure drawings comply with local codes, standards, and company drafting guidelines.
• Perform self-checks on drawings for accuracy and clarity before submission.
• Support preparation of submission drawings for BCA or PE review (if applicable).

Technical Support

• Provide CAD-related support to project teams (e.g., templates, scaling, plotting).
• Assist in converting sketches, PDFs, or hand drawings into AutoCAD format.

Requirements
