A trendy, modern café by day and a sleek, sophisticated bar/lounge in the evening, Chapter One by Fables Specialty Coffee is poised to be a unique and successful addition to the Singapore food and beverage scene. Anchored by our existing specialty coffee operations, our mission is to provide not only great food and beverages, but also a space for people to socialize and relax.

Drawing on the playful and nostalgic nature of our branding, we aim to provide an innovative selection of specialty coffee and premium non-coffee and alcoholic beverages to the community, along with a carefully crafted menu offering a good mix of innovative breakfast/lunch dishes as well as classic brunch fare by day and tapas/grazing plates in the evenings.

  • Washing dishes: Operate industrial dishwashing machines, and hand-wash delicate items like glassware and pots as needed.
  • Sorting and storing: Scrape food, sort items, and put away clean dishes, utensils, and cookware in their proper places.
  • Kitchen cleanliness: Maintain a clean and dry dishwashing area, sweep and mop floors, and keep storage areas, including refrigerators and freezers, sanitized.
  • Toilet cleanliness : Maintain a clean and dry toilet following scheduled cleaning timetable.
  • Waste disposal: Empty trash and recycling bins and take the contents to the designated disposal area.
  • Equipment and facility upkeep: Clean and sanitize work surfaces, kitchen appliances, and the dishwashing machines themselves.
  • Food safety: Follow all established sanitation and food safety guidelines to prevent contamination.
  • Assisting staff: Support the kitchen team by helping with basic food preparation or other tasks as requested.
