Director, Corporate & Business Development

Job Description

As the Director of Corporate & Business Development, you will play a key role in driving strategic growth, ensuring robust corporate governance and fostering business synergies across the organization. You will work closely with the CEO and senior management to optimize performance, manage risks and expand the company’s presence in key markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and support the CEO and management on company performance, risks and profitability related to contracts, revenue, and expenses.
• Oversee financial management, cash flow and corporate governance, ensuring compliance with accounting practices, J‑SOX/Internal Control requirements and relevant government regulations.
• Lead and guide the business development and marketing teams to increase customer reach, focusing on expanding the Japanese MNC portfolio and leveraging the current network.
• Drive business synergy initiatives across the sister companies to maximize operational efficiency and strategic growth.
• Provide guidance and support to department heads in resolving challenges or obstacles beyond their capacity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced qualification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate development, business strategy, or a senior management role, preferably in multinational or Japanese companies.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, financial management, and internal controls (J‑SOX experience is a plus).
• Proven track record in business development, marketing and client portfolio expansion.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to influence and guide senior management and cross‑functional teams effectively.
