A large financial institution with large data team is looking for Application Development Manager / Lead with the following responsibilities :

• Managing an applicaiton development team of around 20+ members
• Managing the solutioning of Big Data and enterprise BI applications
• Building frameworks, best practices for the engineering team.
• Utilizing best big data tools and technologies to perform data ingestion, interface and data analytics
• Managing all changes and implement best practices for data engineering team
• Integration of various tools as part of Hadoop ecosystems
• Collaborate on scalability issues involving access to massive amounts of data and information
• Providing future direction to the existing team

What you should have:

• Computer Science or Engineering degree 15+ years experience in technology with min 10 years in Data Engineering, DataWarehousing or Software Development
• Stong experience in the Big Data environment, using Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Hive etc.
• Experience in managing / leading sizeable data engineering team Prior experience working with Hive, Spark, Scala, Kafka
• Experience in Analytics is a big plus
• Strong in data analysis and has experience working with data lake and Datawarehouse
