Job summary

An IT service provider in Singapore is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer for a 12-month renewable contract. Responsibilities include end user support, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and installation of applications. The ideal candidate should have a Nitec in IT or higher and possess excellent customer service skills. The salary is up to S$3200.

Qualifications

  • Handling Different PC Operating Systems (Windows 7/8 and 10).
  • Performing Hardware Software Installation.
  • Basic knowledge of SOE and group policies- Printer support.

Responsibilities

  • End user support.
  • Assist in Operating Systems Migration and related support.
  • Installation of software/application.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation in IT Service Management Tool.

Skills

Computer OS/Peripherals troubleshooting
Excellent customer service and people skills
Advanced technical abilities including solid troubleshooting skills
Good knowledge of MS Office tools installation troubleshooting
Field experience supporting a variety of technologies

Job description

Our client is a IT Service Provider, who provides IT support, computing parts distribution and computing equipment resell. Due to expansion, they are looking out for a Desktop Support Engineer (12 months contract (renewable)) to support them in their growing business.

Working hour: 9.00am to 6.30pm

Responsibilities
  • End user support
  • Assist in Operating Systems Migration and related support.
  • Support and troubleshooting which includes diagnosis of hardware and software failures or problems.
  • Responsible for correcting all problems associated to supported list of End User Equipment and Software.
  • Installation of software/application.
  • Provide accurate and timely documentation in IT Service Management Tool.
  • Closing all assigned and resolved Incidents; focus on ticket resolution within SLA.
  • Synchronizing application settings to environment requirement.
  • Relocation of computer devices and peripherals.
  • Setting up of the end users profiles for applications.
  • Proactive update and follow up to end users.
  • Guide end user on required applicable tasks
  • Other adhoc task as assigned.
Qualifications

Salary
