Job summary

A leading design firm in Singapore is seeking a Team Leader for their Design Department. The successful candidate will oversee the production of shop and fabrication drawings, coordinate with clients, and guide the project team on-site. This role requires at least 6 years of experience in aluminium and glazing design, strong organizational skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Candidates should possess effective communication skills and a detailed understanding of construction techniques. Singapore citizens and permanent residents preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Work as a team leader. Overall control the entire Design Department.
• Preparing Shop drawings, tender drawing, fabrication drawings, cutting list etc. 3D drawings. Monitor and control the progress and quality of drawings provided by the whole team.
• Attend meetings related to tender, design discussion, design optimization, critical design resolutions.
• Liaise with Client, Main Contractor, Architect and Consultants for design & technical issues.
• Oversee fabrication work and overall project coordination. Provide technical support and guidance to the project team on site.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in aluminium facade design
• Report to the Director.

Requirements

• At least 6 year experience in Alum and Glazing Design design works.
• Responsible, with good organizational and communication skills. Able to work as a team leader.
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards and construction techniques
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering or a related field and above.
• Singapore Citizen and Permant Residence are preferred. (Foreigners with relevant experience will also be considered)
