Design-cum-Project Director (with AI Expertise)

We are looking for an innovative and experienced Design-cum-Project Director with 8 years of proven leadership in design and project management. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end project delivery, lead creative direction, and integrate AI-driven tools to enhance design efficiency, visualization, planning, and decision-making. This role requires strong strategic thinking, design leadership, and multi-disciplinary project experience.

Minimum Qualifications
  • • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Design Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • (Master’s degree is an advantage.)
  • • Minimum 8 years of experience in:
  • • Design management and project leadership
  • • Coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
  • • Delivering commercial, corporate, retail, or industrial design projects
  • • Using or implementing AI tools in design, planning, or workflow optimization
Key Responsibilities
Design Leadership
  • • Lead the design strategy for multiple large-scale projects.
  • • Oversee conceptual design, schematic development, and final design deliverables.
  • • Ensure design solutions meet brand standards, user experience goals, and technical requirements.
  • • Use AI tools for visualization, concept generation, 3D modeling, and design optimization.
Project Management
  • • Manage full project lifecycle from planning to execution and handover.
  • • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, and internal teams.
  • • Oversee project timelines, budgets, procurement schedules, and resource allocation.
  • • Conduct risk assessments, quality inspections, and progress monitoring.
  • • Ensure adherence to safety standards, regulations, and project specifications.
AI Integration
  • • Implement AI tools to improve:
  • • Design workflows
  • • Project scheduling
  • • Cost estimation and forecasting
  • • Documentation and reporting
  • • Data analysis and decision-making
  • • Train team members on AI-enhanced processes and technologies.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • • Present concepts, project updates, and design proposals.
  • • Ensure consistent communication and alignment with project goals.
Team Leadership
  • • Mentor and guide designers, coordinators, and project team members.
  • • Facilitate knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
  • • Strong design management and project leadership capabilities.
  • • Knowledge of AI applications such as:
  • • Generative design
  • • 3D visualization tools
  • • AI-driven BIM or forecasting software
  • • Automation for reporting and documentation
  • • Proficiency in design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Rhino, etc.).
  • • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • • Certifications: PMP, Prince2, Agile, or similar.
  • • Experience in digital transformation and AI adoption within design teams.
  • • Familiarity with cloud-based project platforms (BIM360, Procore, etc.).
  • • Experience in commercial, luxury retail, hospitality, or industrial designprojects.
