The National University of Singapore invites applications for Deputy Director in the Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. It is equipped with on-site capability for the preparation of PET radiopharmaceuticals in a state‑of‑the‑art GMP‑certified facility. CIRC is positioned to support both academic and industry‑led clinical research programs, with dedicated clinical imaging facilities and advanced modalities of PET‑CT and PET‑MRI. The mission of CIRC is to provide a shared state‑of‑the‑art national resource for translational molecular imaging research, to foster collaborations between scientists and clinicians and to support the development of human capital. The applicant plays a key role in our pursuit to be a leading centre for advanced clinical imaging research and to drive the development and translation of imaging biomarkers to clinical practice. She/he serves to lead and manage the operational functions of the radiopharmaceutical research centre, ensuring efficient day‑to‑day activities, regulatory compliance, and resource optimisation, while driving strategic projects and identifying revenue‑generating opportunities to support innovation, growth, and translational impact of the centre’s research outputs.

Appointments will be made on a two‑year contract basis with the possibility of extension.

Operational Excellence and GMP Facility Oversight

• Provide executive oversight of the GMP Cyclotron and radiopharmaceutical manufacturing operations, ensuring capacity planning, uptime, and product release reliability.
• Set and enforce standards for scheduling, preventive maintenance, deviation management, change control, and batch record integrity.
• Optimize end‑to‑end workflows spanning production, QC/QA, logistics/distribution, and clinical imaging utilisation to meet performance, quality, and financial targets.

Research Enablement and Scientific Coordination

• Partner with PIs and cross‑departmental teams to identify and prioritise translational opportunities; ensure operational readiness for complex studies.
• Oversee scientific operations support: experimental planning, method transfer, process scaling, workflow optimisation, and technical troubleshooting.

External Partnerships, Business Development, and Translational Impact

• Build and manage strategic partnerships with industry, hospitals, and regulatory bodies to expand CIRC’s footprint and impact.
• Lead business development, service contracting, and pricing strategies for GMP products and imaging services; identify new revenue streams.
• Support grant development, IP strategy, and potential commercialization pathways for imaging biomarkers and radiopharmaceutical innovations.

Regulatory Compliance, Quality, and Audit Readiness

• Ensure full compliance with local and international standards and relevant ISO frameworks.
• Maintain a robust Quality Management System.
• Ensure perpetual audit readiness and strong regulatory relationship management.

Financial Stewardship and Resource Optimisation

• Own operational budgets, forecasting, and financial controls; ensure cost‑effectiveness and return on investment for strategic initiatives.
• Optimise procurement, inventory, and vendor contracts; implement data‑driven resource allocation and pricing to meet margin and mission goals.

People Leadership and Culture

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing multidisciplinary operations team.
• Drive a safety‑first, accountable, and collaborative culture.
