A leading educational institution in Singapore seeks a Deputy Director and Head for Education Solutions and Engagement. The Deputy Director and Head / Education Solutions and Engagement will be responsible for identifying and executing educational innovations that foster relationships between NIE and industry technology giants, MOE and MOE schools, as well as top local and overseas educational institutions. He / she is expected to identify opportunities for collaboration in educational solutions, which include pedagogical innovations and educational technology, while also facilitating joint projects and knowledge exchanges that enhance the institution’s visibility and impact. Additionally, he / she will manage communications with external stakeholders and assess the effectiveness of collaborative efforts to ensure sustained growth and innovation.
Support the NIE Chief Learning & Innovations Officer in planning, developing, communicating, implementing, and evaluating a technology-enabled educational teaching and learning plan across NIE.
Spearhead educational initiatives that strengthen NIE’s relationships with industry technology giants, the Ministry of Education (MOE), MOE schools, and leading local and international educational institutions.
Identify opportunities for collaborations in education solutions, including pedagogical innovation and educational technology, while facilitating joint projects and knowledge exchanges to enhance NIE’s visibility and impact.
Develop and execute initiatives that foster partnerships with industry leaders, MOE, MOE schools, and top-tier educational institutions locally and globally.
Manage communications with external stakeholders and assess the effectiveness of collaborative efforts to ensure sustained growth and innovation.
Work closely with Deputy Director and Head / IN-Learning to translate industry prototypes and research into practical applications at NIE and in schools and to scale NIE prototypes to schools and industries.
Collaborate with NIE and NTU IT Departments to proactively support faculty in translation of educational innovations into practice.
Represent the Centre for Education Solutions and Engagement and NIE in ICT committees and initiatives related to stakeholder and industry engagement.
Lead in fostering collaborations with local and global technology providers to support and enhance institutional pedagogical innovations.
Engage in professional development for NIE faculty, emphasising integrating emerging technologies and learning analytics in teaching practices for external stakeholder collaborations.
Engage in strategic human resource planning, focus on team growth, and support leadership development initiatives at the Centre for Education Solutions and Engagement.
Strategise and manage budget allocation for education solutions and engagement under the purview of the Centre for Education Solutions and Engagement.
A doctorate or master’s degree.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in the education sector.
At least 5 years of experience in managing teams.
Have experience working with technology industries for education solutions.
Possess a good understanding of education and education technology.
Knowledge of the policies and teaching frameworks in the Singapore education landscape.
Knowledge of the latest trends and advancements in educational technologies.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and excellent in engaging constructively with stakeholders.
Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent leadership skills; good project management, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Able to exercise judgement and take calculated risks.
Excellent strategic planning and partnership building skills.
Able to manage multiple tasks and drive change effectively.
