Job description

You will be a member of the Banking and Insurance Investigations Division (“BID”) of the Enforcement Department. BID is responsible for investigating and enforcing breaches of the laws administered by MAS such as the Financial Services and Markets Act, Banking Act, Insurance Act, Payments Services Act etc. Given the MAS-CAD joint investigation, you will also be gazetted as a Commercial Affairs Officer with criminal investigative power.

You can expect to be challenged intellectually and professionally as you work closely with other investigators, legal officers, as well as internal stakeholders to carry out investigations. You will provide litigation support in regulatory appeals and prosecution. You will gain insight into how the financial services sector in Singapore operates, and the rules and regulations at work, as you play an important role in MAS' enhanced enforcement regime.

Requirements
  • At least 3 years' working experience.
  • Interest in investigation work.
  • Strong analytical, communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to be innovative and creative in solving problems.
  • Prior relevant experience (financial crime/financial forensics investigation) would be an added advantage.
  • You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
