Job description

We are seeking a Deck Foreman to join our clients state-of-the-art heavy lift pipelay vessel. This is a crucial role responsible for overseeing all deck operations during offshore pipelay projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the deck crew during pipelay, heavy lift, and other marine operations
• Ensure all deck activities are carried out safely and efficiently per company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct toolbox talks, job safety analyses (JSAs), and risk assessments before commencing operations
• Maintain clear communication with the vessel’s management team, clients, and third-party contractors
• Monitor and maintain inventory of deck equipment, tools, and spares
• Oversee cargo loading / offloading, pipe handling, rigging, and lifting operations
• Implement and enforce strict quality control measures for all deck work scopes
• Train and mentor junior deck crew members on proper operating procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 1 years of experience as a Deck Foreman on offshore pipelay / construction vessels
• Thorough knowledge of pipelay, heavy lift, rigging, and marine operations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities
• Familiarity with offshore safety regulations (QHSE) and quality management systems
• Valid offshore survival, firefighting, and medical certifications
