Job Description

Cyber Response is one of five pillars in KPMG’s cybersecurity business, focusing on assisting clients after cyber incidents such as ransomware or network intrusions. Responsibilities include investigating incidents, assessing breaches, helping clients recover, and providing recommendations to prevent future incidents. Deliverables often include reports for management or regulators like Singapore’s PDPC. Additional activities involve process improvement, incident simulation, and bespoke training.

You will work with an experienced team of forensic professionals, incident coordinators, security experts, attorneys, and corporate partners.

This role involves:

  • Managing cyber-security incident response engagements.
  • Assisting with client proposals using existing templates.
  • Coaching and managing team members.
  • Participating hands-on in incident response and digital forensics.
  • Working directly with clients to address cybersecurity challenges.

Cybersecurity incidents may occur outside regular hours; flexibility is required. KPMG offers flexible working hours through the “Take Charge” program, supporting work from both office and home.

What we are looking for:

  • Self-motivated learners with a desire to acquire new technologies and share knowledge.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a technical cybersecurity role, including Incident Response and Digital Forensics.
  • Ability to lead incident response cases, formulate response plans, supervise, and participate hands-on.
  • Strong understanding of networking, internet operations, computers, and familiarity with cloud providers like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, along with cybersecurity expertise.

Interpersonal and other skills:

  • Effective time management for multiple projects.
  • Strong presentation skills for reports and client interactions.
  • Ability to write clearly in plain English.
