Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in crewing or manning within the maritime industry.

Responsibilities

  • Source and coordinate seafarers through manning agencies.
  • Arrange interviews for senior officers with relevant department heads.
  • Verify seafarer certificates and arrange medical check-ups where required.
  • Handle Flag State licence applications and certificate authenticity checks.
  • Maintain accurate crew documents in the crewing system.
  • Ensure all vessels meet minimum safe manning requirements.
  • Coordinate crew changes including flights and logistics.
  • Update crew planning, rotation lists, and crew lists.
  • Monitor certificate/document expiry and manage renewals.
  • Support crew appraisal processes and system uploads.
  • Update relevant portals for crew movements.
  • Verify crew-related invoices.

Faststream Recruitment is partnering in the maritime sector in the offshore sector to hire a Crewing Officer for their Singapore office.

The company manages a diverse fleet that includes tug boats, anchor-handling units, offshore support vessels (OSV), and platform supply vessels (PSV). This role sits within the Crewing Department and supports full-cycle crewing operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and smooth crew management across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and coordinate seafarers through manning agencies
  • Arrange interviews for senior officers with relevant department heads
  • Verify seafarer certificates and arrange medical check-ups where required
  • Handle Flag State licence applications and certificate authenticity checks
  • Maintain accurate crew documents in the crewing system
  • Ensure all vessels meet minimum safe manning requirements
  • Coordinate crew changes (flights, visas, port agents, logistics)
  • Update crew planning, rotation lists, and crew lists
  • Monitor certificate/document expiry and manage renewals
  • Support crew appraisal processes and system uploads
  • Update relevant portals for crew movements (where applicable)

  • Perform additional duties as assigned
