Job summary

A maritime company in Singapore is looking for a Crew Manager to oversee the sourcing and recruitment of crew for its managed vessels. You will ensure crew qualifications meet industry standards and manage payroll, schedules, and records. The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in MS Office is required.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of working experience in a similar position.
  • Experience in the Offshore Support Vessel industry is preferred.

  • Ensure crew qualifications meet Company and flag state requirements.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and recruitment of all crews for the Company managed vessels including preparation of employment contacts.
  • Ensure the crew are qualified i.e. meet the Company and flag state requirements with regards to certification and experience prior to joining the vessel.
  • Plan and oversee crew schedule, crew rotation, sign-on/off documentation, crew welfare.
  • In charge of reviewing/verifying crew payroll and impress fund and ensuring crew's final accounts are managed and paid on time.
  • Monitoring available ex-crew and schedule deployment, anticipating future Company's needs for recruitment and informing the Fleet Manager on manpower planning and employment problems.
  • Maintaining personal, medical, and training records and certification details of all personnel. Keeping all personnel files up-to-date in a computerized database which contains key personal data and assignment history.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree (Maritime Studies) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in a similar position or experience in an Offshore Support Vessel industry.
