A wellness and consumer electronics firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior Financial Leader to drive its operational excellence and strategic alignment with the global vision of the SKG Group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial leadership, exceptional analytical skills, and fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. This role involves frequent travel to headquarters in Shenzhen and Hong Kong and managing risk and compliance relevant to Singapore and China.

Job description

You will be responsible for driving the financial stewardship, operational excellence, and strategic alignment of OTO Singapore with SKG Group’s global vision. This role requires a balance of high-level strategic planning, detailed operational management, and cross-border collaboration with headquarters in China and Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial & Business Analysis

  • Lead the optimization of OTO Singapore’s business processes and operational workflows to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct in-depth business performance analysis to identify risk points in operational data and uncover future transformation opportunities.
  • Provide robust decision-making support for OTO Singapore’s leadership team, ensuring strategic and tactical alignment.
  • Oversee budget preparation, business transformation initiatives, and operational performance tracking.
  • Manage full-spectrum financial accounting and reporting, cost control, and risk alerts.

2. Strategic Planning & Performance Management

  • Collaborate with business units to ensure the achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual strategic targets.
  • Break down strategic goals into actionable budgets and operational monitoring frameworks.
  • Prepare and present monthly business management reports, host or coordinate business analysis meetings, and ensure high-quality weekly meeting materials.
  • Develop product outlines and budgets for OTO Singapore.
  • Build and implement P&L break-even models for the overall business, retail (individual stores), and e-commerce departments; train teams on model usage.
  • Provide KPI data and performance measurement reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

3. Integration with HQ Group in China:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between OTO Singapore and SKG Group headquarters.
  • Travel frequently to Shenzhen and Hong Kong for business meetings, with the ability to communicate fluently in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
  • Develop a deep understanding of SKG’s products, market positioning, and senior management structure.
  • Regularly present weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to SKG’s Chairman, CFO, and other senior executives.
  • Execute SKG Group’s strategic directives, ensuring they are embedded into OTO’s daily operational management and execution.

4. Risk Control & Compliance

  • Establish and enforce internal controls, processes, and approval workflows to mitigate operational and financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with both Singapore and China accounting standards, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Monitor and manage Foreign Worker Levy obligations and other statutory requirements in Singapore.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA/ACCA preferred.
  • Proven track record in senior financial leadership, ideally in retail, wellness, or consumer electronics sectors.
  • Strong experience in cross-border business operations and post-M&A integration.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and business modeling skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
  • Willingness to travel between Singapore, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong on a frequent basis.
