Corporate Controller and Company Secretary

Location: Singapore

Role Overview

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for managing group consolidation, statutory reporting, audits, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Corporate Controller will be responsible for maintaining corporate legal entity structure and tax planning. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, experience with multinational group structures, and the ability to coordinate with subsidiaries, auditors, and internal / external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate group audits and ensure timely completion of all statutory requirements. Act as the primary point of contact for Group Auditors and manage audit discussions and resolutions
  • Coordinate with subsidiaries and local auditors across multiple countries. Work closely with subsidiaries on audit planning, execution, and issue resolution
  • Work closely with Global Capacity Centre (GCC) to lead consolidation of the group financials on monthly basis in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Reporting of financials and covenants to banks and financial institutions in accordance with underlying agreements. In addition, manage the relationship with shareholders and independent director(s) to provide the information as required.
  • Work with CFO for tax planning and compliance for group entities including transfer pricing requirements. In addition, review and restructure of corporate legal entity structure and rationalise in accordance with business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory, regulatory, and filing requirements in relevant jurisdictions. Oversee global taxation and compliance matters, including statutory filings. Liaise with GTP and local compliance teams to ensure alignment and accuracy
  • Perform all the secretarial work for group companies, plan and facilitate board meetings and ensure proper maintenance of board minutes and compliance with board and meeting filing requirements
  • Support continuous improvement and modernisation of group consolidation, reporting and compliance requirements including implementation of new tools and processes
  • Manage and develop a team of 3 to 4 direct and indirect reports in GCC
Key Requirements
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant or CPA
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience in Singapore
  • Prior experience in a similar corporate controller / finance, group consolidation and reporting role
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax requirements
  • Proven experience handling the financial reporting and compliance of multinational group
  • Experience working in an MNC environment or significant experience with Big 4 firms managing large audits
  • Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders across regions
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
