Work Location: Conrad Singapore Orchard, 1 Cuscaden Rd, Singapore 249715

The Cook works under the guidance of the supervisor, maintaining the flow of the kitchen while keeping the work area clean and sanitized.

Responsibilities
  • Complete and ensure all work in assigned areas meets the highest cleanliness standards and adheres to Hilton policies and procedures (HACCP).
  • Prepare and plate dishes according to established Hilton guidelines and food standards.
  • Set up and complete mis en place for breakfast, lunch or dinner according to the schedule.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and keep it clean after use.
  • Read and understand orders; prepare and present all food on a timely basis according to Hilton standards.
  • Respect and accommodate servers’ requests regarding guest preferences.
  • Requisition and obtain items for the day and following day with assistance from a Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
  • Follow standard recipes and presentations to maintain quality in production and presentation.
  • Clean all work areas and equipment thoroughly at the end of each shift; keep areas clean and organized.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward changes and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Report any accidents immediately and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors and respond appropriately in hotel emergencies or safety situations.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
Qualifications
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
  • Able to work under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation.
  • Good basic knowledge of local, western and international cuisine.
  • Flexible with working hours, including mornings/evenings, weekends and public holidays.
