Job summary

A construction management company is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee contract administration and manage communication with clients. Candidates should possess a Diploma or higher in Civil Engineering and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing contracts, assisting project managers with payments, and ensuring effective administration of projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera, and AutoCAD is essential for successful candidates. This position is based in Changi, Singapore.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with prospective clients for quotations.
  • Manage pre-tender documentation and attend meetings.
  • Prepare contract documents and oversee contract administration.
  • Assist project managers with monthly progress payment.
  • Attend site meetings with project staff as required.
  • Assist in preparation of variation orders.
  • Liaise with main contractors regarding claims.
  • Prepare budgets and cash flow projections.
  • Assist in negotiation of sub-contractor agreements.
  • Monitor project costs and general financial administration.

Contract Manager
  • Work Location: Changi, office at (Lavender area)
  • Working days: 5.5 days 8am to 5pm, Alternate Saturday Full Day
  • Salary: $6000 to $8000 (depends on experience)
Requirements
  • Candidates with QS or contracts background is advantageous.
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in civil works.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Primavera and AutoCAD.
Job Scope
  • Liaise and assist managing director in responding to request for quotation from prospective clients both local and overseas.
  • Manage and coordinate preparation of pre‑tender documentation and respond to tender clarifications and amendments, attend tender meetings leading to award of tenders.
  • Prepare contract documents for control and implementation of contract administration and review commercial aspects of contract and agreement with clients & sub‑contractors.
  • Assist project managers in preparation of monthly progress payment and ensure successful claim of progress payment.
  • Attend site meetings with project staff as and when required.
  • Assist project managers in preparation of variation orders and keep comprehensive record of work alteration and design amendment etc.
  • Liaise closely with main contractor and client’s Q/S in regard to claims and negotiation of claims and finalization of account.
  • Prepare budgets and cash flow projections in conjunction with directors, project managers and financial controller.
  • Assist in negotiation of sub‑contractor packages and preparation of sub‑contractor or supplier agreement letters.
  • Analyse scope of work in project and contract for effective contract administration in conjunction with interpretation of architectural and shop drawings.
  • Liaise with financial controller and in conjunction with project managers control.
  • Monitor project cost and prepare general financial administration.
  • Report example cost history for contract negotiation and budget.
