Job Purpose

The Communications Manager plays a crucial role in shaping and maintaining a company’s brand reputation, managing internal and external communications, stakeholders, and ensuring that messaging aligns with the organisation’s goals and values. The ideal candidate should be adept at managing multiple projects and teams while maintaining a consistent and clear brand message.

Roles & Responsibilities
Internal Communications
  • Align the comms messaging with business priorities. Work with PR to ensure internal communication reflects the external brand image and vice versa.
  • Campaigns or initiatives to commemorate milestones and promote company values.
  • Crafting and delivering high‑impact messaging that aligns with the organisation’s goals and values.
  • Partner with leadership to cascade strategic messages and updates.
  • Preparing and disseminating multi‑media content including videos for internal communications. Includes but not limited to internal newsletters, emails and announcements.
  • Work with HR and other relevant internal stakeholders to develop and execute communications strategies to keep employees informed, motivated and aligned with the organisation’s goals.
  • Crisis management and internal crisis communications – ensuring timely and accurate messaging during critical situations.
Channel Management
  • Manage internal and external corporate communication channels to enhance employer branding (e.g., LinkedIn, website, intranet, email, physical notice boards and onsite publicity).
  • Write, prepare and disseminate multi‑media content for internal communications. Includes but not limited to internal newsletters, emails and announcements.
  • Recommending and executing enhancements to improve efficiency and engagement of existing communication channels.
Editorial & Creative
  • Ensuring communications content follows NTUC Club’s house‑style matters (UK style).
  • Speech writing, website articles on employer branding and crafting of key messages for town halls, management engagement sessions and etc.
  • Creation of creative assets (e.g., static or videos) to compliment editorial content, and assist in creating marketing communications materials (brochures, presentations, videos).
Event Support
  • Assist and/or lead brand‑related events, sponsorships, and activations.
  • Manage logistics and vendor coordination.
  • Prepare post‑event reports and evaluations.
Brand
  • Govern brand guidelines for NTUC Club and its various portfolios.
  • Building of Employee Value Proposition with HR.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s reputation across internal and external platforms, and work with the relevant stakeholders such as Customer Experience and PR.
  • Track brand performance metrics and use the data to refine and improve brand reputation.
Education & Experience
  • Degree in Mass Communications, Media Studies, or other related fields.
  • At least 6‑7 years of relevant working experience in dealing with corporate communications and the media.
Other Requirements
  • Exceptional communication, writing, copywriting and editing skills with strong critical thinking skills.
  • IT Savvy, in‑tune with digital economy and familiar with managing digital public relations platforms.
  • Good project management skills to plan, track progress and ensure desired outcomes are achieved on time. Ability to work effectively with external vendors is important.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to adapt and learn within a fast‑paced, dynamic, and cross‑functional environment overseeing communications for more than 15 brands across NTUC Club, including both B2B and B2C portfolios.
  • Experience with B2B communications is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Able to multi‑task.
