Cloud Security Specialist

We are seeking a Cloud Security Specialist to develop and oversee cloud security strategies that protect our data and infrastructure. This role involves designing secure cloud architectures, and ensuring compliance with security policies.

• Working Hours: Normal office working hours
• Working Location: Central
• Remuneration Package: Up to $8,500 + AWS + VB

Security Architecture & Implementation

• Implement and maintain secure cloud architectures based on established security designs and standards.
• Configure and deploy security tools and controls across cloud environments.
• Work with cloud and infrastructure teams to integrate security controls into platforms and services.

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Implement and manage IAM roles, policies, and access controls.
• Support secure and compliant access to cloud resources.
• Monitor IAM configurations and assist with audits and integrations with other systems.

Policy & Compliance Support

• Support the implementation of cloud security policies and procedures.
• Assist with compliance activities against industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO).
• Participate in security assessments, reviews, and remediation activities.

Risk Management & Incident Response

• Perform technical risk assessments on cloud workloads and services.
• Support investigation and response to cloud security incidents.
• Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective security controls.

Collaboration & Enablement

• Work with DevOps and development teams to embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical guidance on secure cloud configuration and usage.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve security issues and vulnerabilities.

Monitoring & Operations

• Configure and operate cloud security monitoring and logging tools.
• Analyze alerts and logs to identify suspicious activities and vulnerabilities.
• Produce operational security reports and dashboards for tracking issues and improvements.

Requirements

• Experience:
  • 3+ years in cloud security, focusing on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and technologies.
• Technical Skills:
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center).
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Shell) and automation (e.g., Terraform).
  • Knowledge of container security and IAM systems.
• Certifications:
  • Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
  • Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
