Job summary

A ceramics education company in Singapore is looking for a passionate teacher to conduct ceramics tutoring and class designing. The role involves planning exhibitions and workshops, as well as handling kiln processes. Ideal candidates should have a degree in 3D art and intermediate ceramics knowledge. Weekend and holiday work is expected.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a degree in 3D art-related fields, especially pottery.
• Intermediate knowledge in ceramics including throwing and glazing is necessary.
• Experience in teaching ceramics is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ceramics tutoring and class designing.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Ceramics tutoring & class designing


• Plan exhibitions and events including artist workshop;


• Kiln loading and unloading, and firing of ceramic pieces;


• Design and produce AIA ceramic product for retails purposes;


• Sets up, cleans, and demonstrates the use of equipment and instruments;


• Maintains inventories, orders supplies in accordance with purchasing procedures;


• Monitor and ensure a clean and safe working environment, with regular upkeep of work area, equipment, supplies, and materials;


• Any other assigned ad-hoc duties.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidates with at least a diploma or degree in 3D art-related qualifications, especially pottery


• Possess intermediate knowledge of ceramics (throwing, trimming, and glazing)


• Able to make sake sets and teapot sets


• Experience with teaching ceramics will be an absolute advantage


• Passionate about working in the ceramics industry


• Responsible and well-organized


• Good communication skills and enjoy interacting with customers


• A team player


• Willing to work over the weekends and public holidays


• Meticulous, good organizational and documentation skills
