Job summary

A luxury audio company based in Singapore is seeking a Business Development professional to recruit new retail partners across the APAC region. The role requires over 5 years of experience in luxury retail, strong networking and negotiation skills, and fluency in English. Are you adept in networking and forging professional relationships? Do you possess a keen interest in international luxury retail?

Retail is a hugely significant channel at Bang & Olufsen and as such, this unique business development position has been created to focus on finding new retail partners to launch new mono-brand B&O stores in key locations across APAC.

Key responsibilities
  • Recruitment of new retail partners to key locations across APAC
  • Establishment of partner selection process and tools
  • Negotiation and deal closure with new partners
  • Support onboarding of new partners post-contract signature
  • Aligning with local markets on distribution development plans and partner recruitment needs.
  • Creating pitch presentations, business cases and other material needed for partner recruitment.
  • Establish strategy and process for identifying candidates for future partners.
  • Diligently pursue leads and enhance the selection and onboarding process of new partners.
What you bring

To be effective in this position you will need to have first-hand experience in the luxury retail sector, as well as the relevant networking and negotiation skills to identify possible business partnerships. Moreover, you bring:

  • 5+ years of experience from a business development or retail focused position, within the luxury good sector
  • International network within the retail industry
  • Comprehensive negotiation skills
  • Experience with selective distribution networks
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, Asian languages are a beneficial asset
  • Highly collaborative, willing to work with people across various functions and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to operate both on the strategic, tactical, and operational level
  • Agile and responsive, able to navigate ambiguity

Whilst this position will be an individual contributor, you will be part of the global Distribution Development team and work closely with our Retail team which includes training, VM and retail operations. The role is primarily based in Singapore but regularly collaborate with regional teams in all key APAC markets.
