Job Description

The Business Development Manager will spearhead efforts to expand TIG’s presence and impact through strategic outreach and partnership development for our China Workshops. This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker who can identify growth opportunities, nurture relationships, and drive engagement with educational institutions, student organizations, and relevant stakeholders in the region.

Core Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and potential markets for the China Workshops.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, including universities, student groups, industry organizations, and influencers to increase awareness and participation.
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach and engagement strategies that align with TIG’s overall growth goals.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and partnership offers that highlight the value of TIG’s workshops.
  • Negotiate agreements and collaborate across internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and execution of partnerships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and participant feedback to continuously optimize partnership strategies.
  • Represent TIG at virtual and physical industry events, career fairs, and networking functions to amplify program visibility.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years in business development, sales, or partnership roles, ideally within edtech or career services sectors.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans that yield measurable results.
  • Knowledge of or experience in the Chinese education or internship market is highly desirable.
  • Self‑directed and results‑oriented, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Comfortable using CRM and business development software to track progress and report outcomes.
