Job summary

A leading design firm in Singapore is seeking a business development executive to target Japanese retail and F&B outlets. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be customer-oriented, with proficiency in Japanese. Responsibilities include developing new customers and maintaining existing relationships, preparing sales materials, and coordinating with internal teams for project delivery. Non-experience applicants are welcome, but previous exposure to interior design, architecture, or renovation is preferred. Responsibilities:
  • Perform business development and sales activities targeting Japanese retail shops, F&B outlets, offices, and other commercial facilities in Singapore (80%) & Overseas (20%)
  • Drive new customer development (80%) while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients (20%)
  • Conduct prospecting activities such as client visits, cold calls, networking, and attending industry events to build a strong pipeline
  • Understand client requirements, business needs, and project objectives; communicate all details accurately with the internal interior design and project teams
  • Prepare sales materials such as proposals, quotations, concept briefs, and presentation decks for client meetings
  • Coordinate with internal teams (designers, project managers, procurement) to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Follow up with clients on project progress, variations, timelines, and after-sales matters to ensure long‑term relationships
  • Support marketing activities such as preparing case studies, gathering customer feedback, and updating sales reports
  • Any ad‑hoc duties assigned
Requirements:

*Non‑work experience welcome to apply (Those with prior working experience must have interior design, architecture, or renovation exposure)

Must
  • Proficiency in Japanese in order to communicate with Japanese speaking counterparts
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and customer‑oriented mindset
Advantage
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in B2B sales, marketing, or client servicing in interior design, architecture, or renovation
  • Experience working in an architectural firm, interior design office, or renovation contractor
  • Basic understanding of design proposals, floorplans, BOQs, or commercial renovation workflows
