A leading technology firm in Singapore is seeking a Business and Solution Analyst with over 8 years of experience, particularly in payment systems and banking IT. The role entails managing feature development, performing solution design, and supporting test automation. Candidates should have hands-on experience with Global PayPlus and a solid background in cash management. Strong communication skills and Agile methodology knowledge are essential. This position offers the opportunity to drive high-quality project outcomes.
Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of feature development, from concept through delivery.
Act as feature owner, leading requirements analysis, effort estimation, stakeholder coordination, requirement baseline definition, and collaboration with technical leads and product owners.
Perform solution design, system configuration, and business rule implementation within Global PayPlus (GPP).
Develop detailed work breakdown structure (WBS) estimates to support accurate project planning and execution.
Support test automation activities, including design, execution, and ongoing maintenance of automated test suites.
Define clear requirements and acceptance criteria, prepare test data for automation, and ensure requirements are well-groomed for development teams.
Validate development and automation outputs by conducting end-to-end feature testing, working closely with product owners to agree on test cases and results.
Manage feature handover for UAT, ensuring full end-to-end test evidence is provided and supporting delivery through to production release.
Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing cash management and reporting applications to ensure system stability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects and initiatives.
Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies to drive efficient and high-quality project outcomes.
Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Business and Solution Analyst with strong subject matter expertise in banking IT systems, particularly payment systems and core banking platforms.
Hands-on experience with Global PayPlus (GPP) payment engine (version 4.6.24 or above).
Strong background in cash management, with in-depth knowledge of ISO 20022 and SWIFT payment formats, including payment field mapping and validation.
Preferred exposure to payment hubs, clearing and settlement systems, ACH programs, FX conversion, FX rate types, spreads, markups, modern FX solutions, and banking channels.
Proven ability in requirements gathering, with excellent documentation and communication skills to ensure stakeholder alignment.
Strong experience in creating feature files with clear, well-structured specifications for development teams.
Solid understanding of application architecture and process flows, enabling effective end-to-end requirements analysis.
Demonstrated experience in leading the design and delivery of complex features and applications.
Strong working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Prior financial services industry experience is an advantage.
