Job description
Job Purpose
The main role of this position is to provide strong administrative support to the Trains Billing Hub; ensuring accurate and prompt billing.
Responsibilities
- Day to day support to Trains Billing Hub
- To see through the billing cycle from receipt of order to receipt of payments
- Ensure timely and accurate billing:
- manpower project claims from LTA
- reimbursements/grant from LTA
- recovery/reimbursement/grant from other government agencies
- recovery from clients/contractors
- Resolving billing or claims disputes
- Accruals & Budget
- Ensure timely processing and reporting of accruals and revenue forecast for the projects
- Prepare Annual Budget Template for dissemination to project teams
- Compliance
- Advise project teams and other internal users regarding SMRT's internal processes, reimbursement process and claim matters
- Administer application process for notification and/or approval from LTA in compliance with Trains' Rapid Transit System License
- Active participation in KAIZEN efforts : from identifying issues and challenges, developing plans to implementation of the changes
- Perform data entry and maintain organized billing files in Company's archiving systems.
- Participation in ad hoc assignments as assigned by the Team Head or Department Head.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- (Higher) Nitec or Diploma graduates in any discipline would be considered.
- Experience in Administration, Billing, Operations or Project management or any related field would be advantageous
- Exposure or experience in the Rail or Transport Industry is an advantage.

- Strong teamwork
- Ability to multi-task and independently handle multiple issues concurrently
- Comfortable to liaise with different groups of personnel
- SMRT internal users (technical, frontline and management staff)
- LTA or other government agencies
- External contractors/clients
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word), especially Excel (Pivot, Formulas such as "lookup").
- Familiarity with other Office 365 apps such as Sharepoint List, Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Forms and Power BI would be an advantage.
