Job summary

Information
  • $11,500 to $13,000 + AWS + VB

  • Group Level TAX Structuring Advisory & Compliance Focused

Responsibilities
  • Overall group tax leader, responsible for compliance, planning, dispute resolution and advisory

  • Working closing with Business Units (“BUs’), to be jointly responsible for tax compliance and planning for all entities in the group with local authorities, including in areas such as corporate income tax, transfer pricing, capital allowances, withholding tax, GST, etc.

  • Review existing tax practices and provide advice to improve existing practices and render support to the BUs as required

  • Support corporate re-organizations, M&As, JVs, financing, fund flows from tax perspectives

  • Evaluate and apply for tax incentives from local governments. Ensure the BUs comply with conditions imposed in order to enjoy the incentives provided

  • Drive optimal outcomes for tax controversy and/or dispute resolutions

  • Track new tax developments, evaluate implications to existing and future businesses, and deliver clear insights to management

  • Simplify group structure through regular group-wide reviews to optimize corporate structures taking into consideration new national and global tax policy developments

  • Coordinate communications with external stakeholders, including tax authorities, tax advisors and auditors

Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting and/or finance-related or recognised professional accounting qualifications/certifications

  • Minimum 8-9 years corporate and international tax experience

  • In-depth understanding of recent tax compliance and planning rules and regulations

  • Strong attention to detail, but at same time strategic in thinking and recommendations

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex tax initiatives and deadlines to achieve successful outcomes

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including preparing insightful presentation materials
