Job Title: Automation Engineer (DeltaV) Project coordination and Operational support

Location: Singapore
Industry: Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Manufacturing

Overview

We are seeking an Automation Engineer with hands‑on DeltaV experience and strong project coordination and operational support capabilities. The role will focus on supporting manufacturing operations, managing system changes, and coordinating small automation projects in a GMP‑regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day operational support for DeltaV systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setup.
  • Coordinate with process QA and IT/OT teams to ensure automation systems operate reliably and compliantly.
  • Support change control activities, system troubleshooting and incident investigations.
  • Assist in planning and executing automation‑related projects: upgrades, recipe changes, batch configuration and validation.
  • Work closely with project managers and site leads to track deliverables, schedules and documentation.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date records for automation configurations and ensure compliance with cGMP 21 CFR Part 11 and site standards.
  • Participate in audits, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and performance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation or Chemical).
  • 7 years of experience in Automation Systems with solid knowledge of Emerson DeltaV configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Exposure to GMP manufacturing and automation system lifecycle (design, configuration, testing, commissioning and operation).
  • Basic project management skills: scheduling, tracking progress, managing deliverables and stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with MES, historian systems and data interfaces (ERP, PLC, PI, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, documentation and teamwork skills with a proactive and problem‑solving mindset.
