Associate Consultant / Consultant (Gastroenterologists with interventional/advanced endoscopy)

Job Function: Medical

We are seeking a full-time, accredited gastroenterologist with special interest and expertise in interventional/advanced endoscopy to join our team.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Performing advanced endoscopy independently including ERCP and EUS. Additional expertise in small bowel enteroscopy/ESD/EMR is also preferred. Junior Gastroenterologists who are keen to be trained in advanced endoscopy will also be considered.
  2. Contributing to quality outpatient and inpatient clinical services, including running specialist outpatient clinics, supervising inpatient care, and providing specialist consultations.
  3. Participating in on-call rosters for emergencies and clinical service provision.
  4. Providing teaching and supervision to junior medical staff.
  5. Other duties as assigned by the Head of Division and Head of Department.

Candidates with rigor, adaptability, and team spirit are desired, including working collegially and effectively with intra and inter-departmental colleagues and upholding core institutional values and visions.

Job Requirements:

  1. Possess a medical qualification that is recognized and registrable with the Singapore Medical Council.
  2. Eligible for Conditional or Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council.
  3. Completed specialist training with the qualification that is registrable with the Specialist Accreditation Board.
  4. Fellowship training certification in advanced endoscopy.
  5. Be in active clinical practice in the past 3 years in the relevant specialty.
  6. Provide evidence of English language proficiency and meet the requirement specified by the Singapore Medical Council if the basic medical qualification is not conducted in the English language.
