We are seeking a dynamic and analytical actuary in MSIG Asia to join the Risk Management and Actuarial services department. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of enterprise risk management and actuarial science. This high-impact role reports directly to the Chief Risk Officer and is pivotal in shaping enterprise risk management practices and driving sustainable profitability across our regional business units through insightful actuarial advice and innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide insights on pricing and portfolio performance, and recommend actionable strategies to ensure sustainable profitability across MSIG Asia entities.
  • Support signing actuary in conducting quarterly reserving reviews.
  • Develop and maintain robust risk management models to support enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Drive process improvements and automation within the Risk Management and Actuarial Services department to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members in both actuarial and risk management disciplines.
  • Support Chief Technical Officer in merger and acquisition activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in non-life insurance with a strong track record in pricing, reserving, and risk management. Consulting experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and business impact.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and data tools such as R, Python, SAS, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.
