Job Description

As part of the Finance Operations function, the individual will lead and optimise the core finance operations for the Group. The role will oversee key teams in finance operations ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all processes. The role provides leadership in safeguarding cash integrity, driving timely and accurate customer billing, managing credit risk and collections, and ensuring vendor payments are well-controlled and efficient. By strengthening systems, controls, and process automation, the individual will enhance working capital management and support the business with reliable, scalable finance operations. Acting as a key partner to the CFO and business leaders, this role ensures financial discipline while enabling growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the Finance Operations department, aligning it with the company’s broader financial and operational goals.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance team members. Foster a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and improve all processes related to retail cash management, billing, credit control, and accounts payable.
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies and implement best practices to streamline workflows.
  • Act as a key driver for the adoption of new financial technologies. Evaluate, recommend, and implement new systems and software to automate processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data across all operational finance functions.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and financial health.
  • Work closely with other departments, including Operations, Sales, and IT, to resolveissues and ensure seamless financial processes.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls and policies to mitigate financial risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • At least 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing multiple teams.
  • Strong proficiency with financial management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and a deep understanding of database management and data analytics.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing new technologies to improve financial processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and a comprehensive understanding of core financial functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills. Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders, manage conflicts, and inspire a team to achieve ambitious goals.
