Job description

This role is based in the Technology Solutions department, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President in the Digital Solutions team. It plays a pivotal role in driving strategic digital initiatives across our business units in Asia (BUs), enabling technology adoption with emphasis on AI innovation, Policy Administration Systems (PAS) modernization, and digital platforms that support B2B2C and B2C business models. The role also contributes to regional transformation efforts, supporting various functional areas across the BUs. As a cross-functional leadership role, it blends architecture, advisory, and delivery oversight, ensuring alignment between digital strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Digital Technology Enablement: Lead and support initiatives focused on evaluating and onboarding emerging technologies, including AI, intelligent automation, and digital platforms.
  • AI Strategy & Integration: Drive the exploration, selection, and integration of AI/ML technologies into enterprise workflows. Collaborate with teams to assess feasibility and business impact across our BUs.
  • PAS Modernization: Architect and guide modernization efforts for our PAS, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Digital Solutions for B2B2C/B2C: Design and advise on digital platforms that enable B2B2C and B2C business models, focusing on interoperability, customer experience, and business agility.
  • Regional Process Support: Support transformation initiatives across various functional areas within the BUs.
  • Enterprise Architecture & Integration: Provide architectural leadership for integrating new technologies with existing platforms. Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant solutions across the enterprise.
  • Cloud Strategy & Data Architecture: Lead cloud-first initiatives using AWS or Azure, including migration and modernization. Oversee data architecture decisions involving SQL/NoSQL and data pipelines.
  • Project Delivery Management: Lead cross‑functional teams in delivering software applications using recognized methodologies. Ensure delivery meets scope, budget, and timeline expectations.
  • Mentorship & Best Practices: Mentor teams in software engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, and agile delivery. Promote secure coding and modern development practices.
  • Technology Advisory: Continuously monitor industry trends and emerging technologies. Advise senior leadership on strategic adoption to maintain competitive advantage.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Certifications in digital technologies, AI, or cloud architecture are advantageous
  • Minimum of 10 years in enterprise technology consulting, architecture, or solution delivery within insurance companies or technology firms specializing in insurance software products
  • Proven experience in AI/ML strategy, PAS modernization, and digital platform enablement
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure); Architect Associate certification is preferred
  • Expertise in API design, integration, and governance
  • Solid grasp of SQL/NoSQL schema design and data integration patterns
  • Familiarity with general insurance products, processes, and compliance
  • Experience in leading software application delivery across cross‑functional teams
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code is preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) is preferred
  • Exposure to microservices, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and event‑driven systems is preferred
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skill
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
