Summary
Responsible for growing Far East Hospitality brands in accordance with the Group’s expansion strategy, across priority markets and brands, to increase the size and scale of the portfolio. This position will identify, evaluate, and will be an integral part of structuring, negotiating and closing management agreements. These may take the form of single management agreement or multiple property deals or operating platform acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Source and identify business opportunities and deals.
- Maintain a framework for the development process, including feasibility, site inspections, technical services, due diligence, brand specifications, and internal approvals.
- Understand business direction and needs and develop solutions, roadmaps and assessment of potential business impacts.
- Build and maintain strong relation with owners, business partners and industry professionals for qualified leads and business opportunities generation.
- Evaluate and review business opportunities and deals by conducting market research, financial analyses, financial modelling and feasibility studies entailing cash-flow and yield analyses and projections.
- Prepare and conduct pitch to owners and business partners.
- Draft term sheets and conduct and manage the negotiation of the terms of the deals and transactions.
- Review the structure of the deals / transactions, including due diligence, financing, risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective communication and liaison with relevant internal (including legal, operations, and pre-opening team) and external parties on matters relating to new management opportunities and business partnerships and support the deals through to opening.
- Prepare and present business proposals and papers for management and board’s approval.
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor and management, carrying them out diligently and professionally.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Business Administration or a related field
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the field of business development with a proven track record in the transaction of deals, preferably in the real estate sector
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and project-planning skillsand ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- High level of independence and initiative
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and project management skills
