We are seeking a highly motivated and hands‑on Senior Technician / Assistant Service Engineer to join our Remanufacturing & Overhaul team in Singapore. This role is workshop‑based and focused on the repair, overhaul, and testing of key engine components that support both classic and modern fleets in the region.

Rolls‑Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu‑brand high‑speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defense vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

Key Accountabilities
  • Perform mechanical repair, disassembly, reassembly, and overhaul of diesel engine components (e.g., cylinder heads, water pumps, turbochargers) in accordance with OEM standards.
  • Ensure all repair work meets quality and turnaround time (TAT) targets.
  • Support engine/component troubleshooting and functional testing during bench‑test activities.
  • Apply knowledge of fuel system components such as injectors, fuel pumps, and governors (added advantage).
  • Conduct improvement projects to enhance productivity, safety, or process efficiency within the workshop.
  • Liaise with Supervisors for technical clarifications when needed.
  • Comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and internal safety protocols.
  • Contribute to achieving department KPIs in quality, safety, efficiency, and throughput.
Qualifications
  • Diploma / NITEC / ITE in Marine Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2-3 years of hands‑on experience in diesel engine component overhaul or mechanical maintenance.
  • Proficient in using common workshop tools (e.g., torque wrenches, powered hand tools).
  • Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and ability to work independently under pressure.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • A team player with a collaborative and safety‑first mindset.
