Job summary

A maritime technology company is seeking an Assistant Radio Surveyor in Singapore. The role involves assisting with VDR/SVDR performance tests and statutory safety radio surveys aboard ships. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of relevant experience and technical knowledge in GMDSS and VDR/SVDR systems. Responsibilities

  • To assist Radio Surveyor, carry out VDR/SVDR annual performance tests and statutory safety radio survey on board ships.
  • Update international convention regulations and International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements.
  • Maintain survey checklists issued by classification bodies.
  • Identify nature of survey and monitor daily statutory survey activities.
  • Prepare survey report and submit to relevant classification authority.
  • Record any non-conformities of equipment in the survey report.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.
    • To obtain General Operators Certificate (GOC).

Requirements

  • Minimum two years relevant experience.
  • Technical knowledge in GMDSS & VDR/SVDR system.
