Brief Summary: Join a dynamic team as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer, where you will lead critical maintenance initiatives and drive improvements in plant operations. This role offers an opportunity to enhance your engineering skills while ensuring equipment reliability and optimal performance.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee preventive maintenance activities linked to mechanical systems, proposing actions aligned with quality and safety standards to enhance plant maintenance.
  • Manage emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment; guide team members in resolving technical deficiencies to minimize downtime.
  • Lead improvement projects, coordinating with internal and external resources to achieve targets and ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct data analysis of completed reliability actions to optimize maintenance procedures.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating with external vendors for scheduled maintenance during plant shutdowns to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor the execution of the Annual Preventive Maintenance Schedule, ensuring proper allocation of internal and external resources.
  • Direct the mechanical team in emergency repairs and enhancements to equipment, ensuring adherence to change management procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Requirements
  • NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in a process plant or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Hands‑on experience in machinery and equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP is a plus.
  • Availability to support emergency maintenance tasks as needed.
