Job summary

A marine engineering company in Singapore seeks a supervisor for steelworks. The role involves overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring quality checks, and managing manpower. Candidates should have an NTC in Mechanical or Marine Engineering, preferably with 2-5 years of marine industry experience. Strong communication skills and proficiency in reporting tools are essential. The position offers a 5-day work week with working hours from 7.45am to 5pm.

Qualifications

• Preferably with 2-5 years’ working experience in marine related industry.
• Knowledge of ship repairs, steelworks, fabrication works, and NDT will be advantageous.
• Able to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day to day steelworks supervision for maintenance and modification of vessels.
• Prepare, coordinate and monitor work schedule to achieve delivery deadlines.
• Perform QC checks on works and manage daily manpower deployment.

Skills

Supervising workers and subcontractors

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Proficient in MS Words, Excel, Powerpoint

Education

NTC, preferably in Mechanical or Marine engineering
