What will I be doing?
As the Assistant Manager at Osteria Mozza, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Maintain a high customer service focus by always putting guests first.
- Take personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, communicating clearly with guests and colleagues.
- Manage a portfolio of guests to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Contribute ideas to improve operational and environmental procedures in the restaurant.
- Promote Hilton hotel services and facilities to guests and suppliers.
- Perform all duties safely, ensuring your safety and that of others.
- Create an environment focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Seek verbal feedback from guests and team members regularly.
- Propose and implement improvements to guest service.
- Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests and queries, assisting on the floor daily.
- Assist guests proactively and train team members to anticipate guest needs.
- Ensure consistent delivery of service standards as per the Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
- Be knowledgeable of Hilton departmental standards and explain these to the team.
- Conduct regular training on departmental standards and monitor standards through reviews.
- Develop action plans to address shortfalls and implement improvements.
- Prepare rosters, leave plans, and schedules considering business needs and external factors.
- Assign duties and delegate authority for restaurant operations.
- Understand the operations of other departments and their impact on your own.
- Manage the departmental operation, participating in service duties when necessary.
What are we looking for?
The ideal Assistant Manager at Osteria Mozza should embody the following:
- 2 to 4 years of managerial experience in a celebrity chef, Michelin-starred restaurant within a 5-star establishment or equivalent.
- Valid food hygiene certification.
- Up-to-date with fast-moving F&B trends.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn new skills to improve performance.
- Ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
- Outgoing personality.
- Strong knowledge of Italian and French wines.
- WSET certification or similar wine education is preferred.
