Job description

As an Assistant Manager, Food Services Operations (Healthcare Industry), you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Oversee end-to-end food service operations to ensure safe, timely, and seamless meal delivery.
  • Manage daily operational workflows across food preparation support, assembly, catering, and storage functions.
  • Plan, recruit, deploy, and schedule manpower to meet service and operational requirements.
  • Ensure staff compliance through training, onboarding, and vaccination readiness.
  • Manage food service contracts and monitor vendor performance against service level agreements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to food safety, workplace safety, fire safety, and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with culinary and production teams to support inpatient, staff, and catering meals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in workflow efficiency, automation, waste reduction, and sustainability.
  • Handle escalated service issues, patient feedback, and complaints professionally.
  • Prepare operational reports, verify monthly service payments, and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food & Beverage Management, Hospitality, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
  • Certification in Food Hygiene; ISO 22000, ISO 45001, and MUIS Halal certification will be an added advantage.
