Job Summary
The role within the Community Relations team supports the achievement of Epworth’s fundraising objectives. She/he is responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of assigned fundraising campaigns and key engagement events, including Donor Appreciation and Engagement events, Gala Dinner, and other initiatives throughout the year.
The role also focuses on identifying and engaging new corporate and Foundation partners, while nurturing and strengthening existing corporate partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
This role requires close cross-functional collaboration with volunteers, and key internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality event delivery, effective donor stewardship, and the successful achievement of project objectives within defined scope, timelines, and budgets.
Job Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, grantmakers, volunteers, and other key stakeholders through networks, CSR programmes, and donor engagement initiatives.
- Identify and develop fundraising opportunities to support our donor engagement journey and organisational goals.
- Monitor fundraising performance, maintain accurate donor databases, and prepare reports and updates for management team and key stakeholders.
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and community engagement initiatives, ensuring strong alignment with timelines, budgets, and strategic objectives.
- Lead end-to-end event management, including programme planning, venue and vendor sourcing, logistics, and post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing & Communications and Volunteer Management teams to drive marketing efforts and support for fundraising initiatives.
Communications
- Formulate and implement engagement programmes and events for the organisation.
- Develop, plan and execute community events (talks, seminars, workshops, festive events) that reach out to the immediate community. This includes overseeing the logistical requirements, pre-event communications and briefings to ensure positive outcomes.
- Develop and execute marketing and communication messages/campaigns to build Epworth’s brand awareness.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor/Diploma in Mass Communication/Business with at least 5 to 7 years’ relevant experience.
- Experience in fundraising and/or donor management is mandatory.
- Good understanding of the social service and/or non-profit sector.
- Strong interest in community work.
- Self-starter, able to work outside office hours on occasion.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Ability to think and work independently.
- A good team player.
- Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good project management, planning and organisation skills, able to manage a few projects concurrently.
- Strong ability to engage stakeholders of all levels and good corporate pitching skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy with ability to be adaptable and meet tight deadlines.
