Job summary

A community care organization in Singapore seeks an Assistant Manager to lead and manage children's literacy programmes. Title: Assistant Manager (Children)

This position will report to the Programme Manager of the Children Department

General
  • Understand, imbibe & promote C3 mission, vision and values
Job Description (Programme specific)
  1. Assist in leading a team to conduct the organisation’s literacy programmes, including StoryLAB, GROW and iREAD
  2. Organize and carry out additional programmes and events as required (e.g. camps, parenting workshops, outings)
  3. Manage volunteers helping in the literacy programmes – screening, onboarding, engaging, monitoring and supporting the volunteers
  4. Engage and liaise with community partners and stakeholders to share information and updates about the children and the programmes
Other Responsibilities
  • Assist in fundraising, administration and other responsibilities as required
  • Reporting and presentations
  • Take on other additional responsibilities as required by management
Core Competencies
  • Have a strong passion for working with children literacy
  • Possess good knowledge of educational landscape (preschool and primary school) in Singapore
  • Possess good communication, leadership and engagement skills
  • Possess good organizational skills and is detail oriented
  • A reliable team player
Preferred achievements / characteristics
  • Fluency in English and a 2nd language
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with children (in learning support/community programmes)
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and Google Suites
