Position Summary

Reporting to Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the Embed business unit. Partnering with cross functional stakeholders, you will ensure accurate management and statutory financial reporting, good internal control compliance to corporate policy and tax compliance globally. Strong data analytical skills, well versed business process knowledge and Stewardship with high initiative will contribute to the overall success and growth of the role and company. Involvement in NetSuite financial system and related operating systems (like SFDC, Avalara, etc) improvement/migration projects would also a key responsibility for this role.

This position is full time 6 months contract, maternity cover.

Key Responsibilities
Finance operations
  • Lead and manage all GL, AR and AP functions within the Finance department
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Review GL/ Group elimination journal entries and balance sheet analysis and monthly account reconciliations
  • Work with businesses to maintain good internal control procedures and business processes to maintain a good corporate governance in line with international auditing standards and best practices.
  • Comply with all regulatory and tax requirements and accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Prepare financial reports and provide analytics and insights into financial performance and trends with succinct explanations of any exceptions and variance against budget and work with FD to drive business improvements.
  • Liaise with auditors, company secretary and tax agent to complete the statutory audit, mandatory returns & filings on time.
  • Liaise with internal parties for budget and reforecast exercises
Controllership
  • AssistFDin implementing internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain relations with external auditors and address their findings and incorporate their recommendations whenever possible
  • Liaise with internal and external parties (shareholders, bankers, auditors, tax agents etc)
  • Team Management

Any other matters as assigned by your immediate supervisor or Executive Management team

Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or business administration/ studies with major in Accounting or ACCA
  • Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant required
  • Possess at least 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
  • Strong accounting knowledge
  • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • High learning agility and adaptability
  • Ability to prioritize task, multi-task and meet deadlines
