The Corporate & Strategic Planning (“CSP”) team helps shape the long‑term strategic direction and tactical plans of SG Growth Capital Pte Ltd (SGGC). As Assistant Director, you will lead engagements with key stakeholders, drive corporate initiatives, facilitate internal reviews, and ensure alignment of strategic goals with SGGC’s fund mandates. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with strong policy fluency and a flair for clear and persuasive communication to effectively influence and drive organisational success. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment, and building a high‑performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy Development: Develop and refine SGGC’s corporate strategies to achieve its strategic mandates and objectives.
  • Industry Analysis: Lead the analysis of industry trends, market opportunities, and competitive landscape to inform and support strategic decision‑making.
  • KPIs: Drive the formulation and approval of developmental and financial KPIs for SGGC’s funds, ensuring they are strategically aligned with organisational goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Reporting: Track and report on the company’s achievements of corporate deliverables and overall fund KPIs, and monitor the company’s progress against corporate and strategic objectives, including developmental commitments and realization activities of portfolio companies.
  • Senior Management Reporting: Ensure timely reporting to senior management and stakeholders; prepare and present high‑quality presentations and reports of SGGC’s strategies and performance.
  • Corporate Planning Initiatives: Drive the annual corporate planning cycle, including the formulation of annual corporate deliverables and support the setting and review of team workplans.
  • Planning Events: Facilitate and drive corporate planning events involving senior management, including workplan sessions, mid‑year and strategic reviews.
  • Board Meetings: Organise board committee meetings to review investment strategies and projects.
  • Process Improvement: Drive process improvement and work closely with internal teams to implement digitalisation initiatives to ensure strategic objectives are met.
Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines.
  • At least 8 years of experience in corporate strategy, business planning or management consulting, with a track record of successful strategic initiatives and project management.
  • Prior experience in venture capital/private equity investment firms or government‑related entities an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving skills, and ability to develop insights that support strategic decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with proven ability to manage multiple high‑priority projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to produce data‑driven reports and presentations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in managing cross‑functional teams.
