The Application & Operations Support Executive plays a crucial role in enabling new applications launch, new system enhancement and drive changes through automation to promote operation efficiency. With experience in business insights, the Executive can bridge business needs with new technology changes, streamline business and system processes through simplification, adopt continuous transformation mindset to combine applications and automate workflows.
Being the support role between users and IT, the Executive will evaluate end-to-end view on business / process / systems impact, mitigate risks or gaps, review proposed resolution / workaround, alignment between stakeholder to have common understanding and set expectation. This is to ensure accountability, continuity and satisfaction to complete the whole support lifecycle and maintain business continuity with minimal impact.

- Operation support to end user
- Being the business owner of several critical systems, end-to-end support from incident raised till drive to closure.
- The candidate will need to work closely with IT and users to maintain business continuity with minimal business impact. The candidate will provide day to day assistance in various areas:
- Manage IT system issues and stakeholder coordination to resolve errors, ensure preventive measures, support testing, rectify customer impacts, and provide timely incident communications.
- Clarify application features, manage integration queries, and support consulting, tracking, prioritization, and monitoring of service requests and continuous improvements.
2. Project management and system enhancement of new and existing applications
- Requirements gathering - Collaborate with stakeholders to collect, analyze, and prioritize business needs; document requirements and identify process gaps or enhancements.
- Solution Review - Align stakeholders on scope, review IT designs and prototypes, provide feedback, and track solution gaps for future improvements.
- Testing Management - Plan and execute UAT, sanity, and readiness testing; manage defects via Jira, monitor progress, and ensure timely resolution.
- Training & Process - Prepare training materials, support trainers, evaluate process impacts, and conduct user briefings for new or updated systems.
- Communication - Maintain regular stakeholder updates on status, issues, and milestones; prepare reports and presentations; manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
- Deployment - Review migration plans, coordinate data cleanup and readiness, ensure user access configuration, and communicate downtime or service impacts.
- Documentation – Maintain comprehensive project records using tools like SharePoint and Confluence, track solution gaps and post-launch enhancements.
Skills for Success
- Minimum Diploma in any discipline – preferably Business or IT related
- Able to work with a minimal supervision
- Able to perform & support testing after office hours (incl. weekday and weekend)
- Good analytical skill to evaluate impact on issues, IT solutioning and interim workaround. Able to recommend practical solutions based on analysis.
- Good multi-tasking skill to manage and perform multiple tasks as there are different projects and operation support concurrently run.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in MS Office & Visio Applications
- Knowledge in project methodologies (e.g. waterfall, Agile/Scrum) and tools (e.g. MS project / Jira)
