Avanade operates globally across geographic Regions; each Region has a community of sales professionals who are accountable for identifying, qualifying and developing business opportunities which connect the full breadth and depth of Avanade’s market‑leading capabilities and solutions with the business and technology needs of our clients, seizing the market opportunity for Avanade.

As the Avanade Area Microsoft Alliance Leader for the APAC region (currently comprising Australia, Singapore and Japan), you’ll be part of one of the most exciting partnerships in the industry. You’ll be the “face of the partnership” for APAC, managing the Microsoft partnership across all aspects of the business – from stakeholder alignment and relationship management to APAC Regional Alliance Team management, from joint sales and go‑to‑market orchestration to field alignment and ongoing enablement. You’ll be responsible for executing the global alliance plan with Microsoft in APAC to support our growth opportunities in all channels, you’ll act as a key strategic advisor to Area / Region leadership, providing the voice to the partner and from the partner, you’ll align to sales leadership to enable co‑selling at scale, mobilize across Avanade, Accenture, and Microsoft to drive increased share of wallet and mindshare for Avanade services.

You’ll be part of a team of Regional PDMs across APAC – all aligned to consistently deliver results and impact across the area, and you’ll be a core member of the global alliance leadership team accelerating the next phase of transformation of the Avanade Microsoft Partnership.

Already recognised for the success with Enterprise clients (eg Bridgestone, BUPA), there is increasing focus on SME and Mid‑Market clients – and we are looking for someone with a passion for the mid‑market who can partner with our Microsoft relationships and help drive those.

As well as market growth, we are looking for someone who can help grow the region geographically – our move into India has just been announced globally and APAC will continue to grow over the coming years – a leader who can penetrate new markets and build new relationships is essential to the region’s success.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the Avanade Microsoft relationship for (AREA) – including
  • Lead the joint Area GTM plan development and execution, working closely with Regional Alliance Sales Leads
  • Drive (AREA‑level) Executive Alignment and Governance, and ensure consistent governance and interlock model in all regions
  • Work with global FaaS team to tap and maximize the different funding programs (eg : ECIF) to support deals in APAC
  • Primary responsibility for Avanade Direct business in Majors, Majors Growth, and SMEC segments – as well as interlocking as needed across AMBG
  • Lead execution of joint GTM program / initiatives as part of joint Partner Business Plan
  • Team lead for the (AREA) Regional Alliance Sales Leads – ensuring consistent level of alliance sales support across the area
  • Joint Scorecard metric achievement – incremental Microsoft‑sourced pipeline origination, joint GTM targets, Microsoft Investments, Microsoft Target Achievement
Responsibilities
  • Act as strategic advisor to Avanade leadership on Microsoft relationship and joint execution
  • Lead alliance relationship in (AREA), working closely with Avanade and Microsoft stakeholders to drive execution of joint activities to support Direct growth goals. Manage escalation resolution, exec alignment, scorecard across Area and regional execution.
  • Lead the Global Joint Alliance Plan for the Area, overseeing execution plans, programs & achievement of metrics.
  • Lead team of Region Alliance Managers to ensure consistent execution across Area with localized plans & scorecards.
  • Orchestrate pan‑Area governance & joint ROB to drive predictable interlock, align to relevant processes and programs across Area
  • Collaborate with Microsoft & Avanade Area Sales Leaders to execute ‘sell‑with’ and joint GTM initiatives
  • Manage Area Joint Account targeting process – orchestrate attainment of joint account planning session and incremental pipeline
  • Support joint area / region account planning sessions to influence, extend, and / or accelerate deal closure
  • Develop and execute a coordinated enablement plan to drive partnership awareness, targeting Area & MS Sales, Target Clients
  • Manage Area alliance operational rhythm of the business to accurately track and report impact of joint activities to Area growth
  • Serve as primary influencer to Area Alliance Marketing to ensure effective demand gen activities to support Area sales strategy
  • Be part of the Global Alliance Leadership Team to ensure close coordination, continuous communication related to Area requirements
